Trade show focused on the hospitality industry in Mexico and the Caribbean. AHEC will be active during this show to ensure that American hardwoods remain represented when development plans are created for hotels and public spaces.

Wood education seminars hosted in Okayama (July 10) and Fukuoka (July 11) for the local furniture industry. Topics will include a presentation on grading from NHLA Chief Inspector Mr. Dana Spessert, a presentation on the American Forest Resource from AHEC International Programs Manager Tripp Pryor, and wood use in interior design from American Architects.

AHEC will host a small pavilion at the first edition of the Thailand Woodworking & Furniture Exhibition (TIWF) in 2024! The show will be held every other year in Bangkok, Thailand, and is the only US Hardwood Pavilion in SE Asia for the year. In 2022 Thailand imported over $22 million worth of American hardwood lumber, becoming one of our top 10 global markets. The country has experienced a tourism boom and developing regions of the country are using more hardwood products in hotel, office space, and residential construction.
